Apollonia Vanova

SCULPTOR: A graduate from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, Apollonia majored in Sculpture.  Even before she attended university, she has been involved in art nationally and internationally.  After graduating from H. B. Beal Secondary school, in London Ontario, she traveled to Italy, where she was an apprentice to the sculptor Tomasso Gismondi.  Upon her return to Canada, she opened Vano inc. where she designed and produced large ceramic murals.  Her first commission was a 20' x 5' pediment sculpture for a Neoclassical private villa in Brampton, Ontario.  She has worked in various media including bronze, steel, leather, oil and acrylic
