The mission of Becker Galleries is to present, to discerning collectors, the work of important emerging and established-emerging artists.

Michele Becker

Michele Becker holds a specialist degree in Art Administration from the University of Toronto where she graduated with high distinction. She has spent over 18 years in the Art Industry, working first with the Federation of Canadian Artists where she founded Art Avenue, the Federation's magazine, then serving as Executive Director for the Canadian Institute of Portrait Artists while assisting mid-career artists with professional development. She consults for high-end galleries on the commercial market and facilitates private transactions on the secondary market by sourcing work for personal and corporate collections. She is a published writer (magazines and catalogues) and has curated both commercial and public exhibitions. Today, Michele continues to work with artists on career advancement and sales and with her own private and corporate clients, building collections and advising on art investments. Passionate about her chosen field, Michele also contributes her time and energy to art related charities in the not-for-profit sector.

Submission Policy

We accept submissions at any time, to be reviewed and responded to on a quarterly basis.  All submissions should include a bio + full CV (listing postsecondary education), contact information, selected images of work (saved in JPEG format) and/or a link to an online portfolio.  All submissions from senior artists (with work in museums/major institutions, or recipients of grants/awards) will be accepted directly.  Submissions by emerging artists must be refereed in, with a signed letter of recommendation by a respected member of the arts community.
